Chilli Con Carne

  • 100 grams lean minced beef
  • 45 grams kidney beans; canned and drained
  • 1/2 medium clove garlic
  • 1/2 medium Onion
  • 1/2 medium green pepper
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 small tin chopped tomatoes; (200g)
  • 1 teaspoon tomato puree
  • 1/2 cube beef stock
  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon drinking chocolate
  • 1/2 teaspoon mixed herbs
  1. Heat the olive oil in a non-stick saucepan and cook the onion until slightly softened.
  2. Add the garlic and diced pepper and cook for another few minutes.
  3. Add the minced beef, brown and then drain off excess fat.
  4. Stir in all other ingredients, adding more or less chilli powder to your taste.
  5. Cover and cook for 20 minutes. Serve with 60g of brown rice (uncooked weight).
